Have you ever wanted to take the plunge into owning chickens so that you and your family could have access to farm fresh eggs? Maybe you don't have the time and space to have chickens, or maybe where you live doesn't allow you to keep chickens. Marston Family Farms Flock Share Program solves these issues.   

What is Flock Share? 

Flock sharing is an opportunity to be a partial owner in the Marston Family Farms Flock of free-range chickens. You will receive either 6 or 12 farm fresh, free-range eggs a week depending on how you chose to invest. You get the benefits of owning chickens without having to do the work that it takes to keep and raise chickens. Your initial one-time investment in an unspecified hen is $15 to join, after that it is $8 a month for 6 eggs per week or $18 a month for 12 eggs per week. In exchange for your investment into the flock along with your eggs we will provide food, water, treats, bedding, housing, a 4,500 sqft run, over 3 acres of free-range space and daily care and maintenance. The hen is unspecified so that we can continue to manage the chickens as a whole flock. This allows us to ensure that you get a 1/2 dozen or a dozen (your choice) farm fresh, free-range eggs a week. A hens egg production varies throughout the year due to molting and shorter days during the winter months. We raise our chickens as naturally as possible so we do not use artificial light to stimulate egg production through the winter months because we believe in letting the hens have their natural break from laying during the winter to rest and recover. Your hen along with the rest of the flock will free-range every single day giving her foraging access to bugs, worms, and seeds. At night your hen will sleep in a large luxurious coop built by Somo Coops that also includes a massive 4,500 sqft run that is predator proof to help keep your hen extra safe. While your hen is living the life on our farm we will collect eggs 3x a day and keep them stored at or below 45 degrees Fahrenheit until they are picked up or delivered to you at an agreed upon weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly pick-up or delivery time. If you wish to visit the flock you may do so by scheduling your eggs for pick-up.

We are passionate about chickens and knowing where the food we put into our bodies comes from is very important to us. Eggs are one of the most nutritional and versatile foods on the planet. One egg is about 65 calories and has 6 grams of protein along with almost every nutrient a person needs. Chickens that free-range and have a high quality diet produce eggs that are higher in Omega-3 and are more nutrient dense than commercial store bought chickens eggs. That is why we flock share and that is why we invite you to join us and be part owner in the flock. To give you access to amazing, fresh, free-range eggs. A small investment and a monthly fee gives you all the benefits of owning chickens without the struggle. 

What is the Cost? 

Your initial investment is $15 to join. This is a one-time payment. 

Monthly fee for 24 eggs a month is $8 (1/2 Dozen eggs a week)

Monthly fee for 48 eggs a month is $18 (Dozen eggs a week)
